(For those of you who may have just discovered our podcast, we are a weekly Destiny show and have been producing audio episodes for over 5 years now…things have changed over the years as our show format has adapted with the times. We have decided to produce a live Vodcast of our show on YT where you can interact with us in the chat on Friday nights at 10pm eastern and I always announce a reminder in our discord (discord.gg/gdc) We'll also have a replay of tonight’s show on my YT channel and of course, the audio version will always be available for our podcast listeners and you can also go to our website guardiandowncast.com to listen to any of our back episodes as well on demand).
In this episode, we’ll first catch up with our past week, and Mike and I will also share our opinions of the Game Awards, which went live last night. Next, we will have our 2024 SpeedRun co-leaders, Deadpool-1-Merc and SweatySpookz, have a final head to head winner takes all to determine this year’s SpeedRun Champion, which will win a monetary prize and a special badge/role in our discord community to flex over the next year (oh, and they will both get a special SpeedRun list of questions custom created by me, so we will see who’s on point tonight). Once that has been completed, I will go over the last This Week in Destiny blog of 2024 from Bungie and highlight the important parts of it for everyone.
Next, and probably the meat of tonight’s show, Mike and I will discuss the latest Developer Insight from Robbie Stevens concerning the upcoming Codename: Frontiers new saga of Destiny 2 arriving in June of 2025…and he really left some good clues as to what we might expect soon. I will then give the wheel a good spin LIVE tonight to see who will win that $100 Amazon Digital Gift Card from our GDC Survey contest…and also go over some of the comments I received from those surveys and you tell us what you think. All of the entries will be anonymous and I will only show a portion of their email address on the wheel. Whoever wins, we will email them the gift card code.
